Nothing in society is the way it used to be. Naturally these changes have also affected community work by churches. But a new situation does not mean that everything will be worse. Communities that take the right approach can emerge from the need to cut costs and make changes stronger than before. Of course good intentions are not enough - money is also needed. The endowment of a foundation is a good way to accomplish this. Based on the example of the “Bürgerstiftung Rheinviertel” in Bonn Bad Godesberg, the book describes how a community finds the way back to itself and comes together to set off for new shores. How a community decides against complaining and in favour of action, which may encourage others to follow their lead.
